PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Registered Dental Assistant is responsible for the friendly and professional reception of our clients and the support of the clinic manager, dentists, and hygienists in the care and treatment of patients. This position will provide chair-side assisting, instrument sterilization, monitoring inventory, managing patient records, and other administrative duties including front desk reception, scheduling, obtaining required demographic information, photo ID, insurance cards, and any additional necessary paperwork. This position is also responsible for qualifying patients for copay collection, determining the sliding fee scale, and facilitating insurance applications. As a vital member of the EIHC team, this role will recognize and promote the cultural diversity of the patients we serve and the people we work with.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• State of Iowa Registered Dental Assistant certification required.
• Dental radiography certification required.
• Basic Computer skills required; ability to effectively utilize dental software for patient scheduling, charting, and records.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• EFDA certification preferred.
• Two years’ experience providing patient service in a dental setting.

COMPENSATION:

$18.00 to $26.60 hourly DOE
